At Henry Cookson Adventures, we take pride in our work with charities expertly managing the complexities of training, mental preparation and the emotional experience of fundraising itself. We’ve successfully summited two mountains with children’s charity Starlight and helped ensure paraplegic war veterans reached the North Pole safely on HRH Prince Harry’s epic charity expedition, Walking with the Wounded.
We have collated and created our very own ‘Year of Adventure’ with over 200 trips. Many of these are easily adaptable for charity fundraising such as such as kayaking across either crocodile-filled or icy waters, cycling through game filled plains or paramotoring to untouched areas. A few even provide genuine record beating challenges – great fundraising fuel. Mountain climbs work brilliantly for groups, as they provide a challenge, camaraderie and are not overly costly to arrange.
Climbing Mounts Kilimanjaro, Kenya and the stunning Rwenzori’s ‘Mountains of the Moon’ can all be tailored to your charity’s needs and those of the group itself, so everyone can rise to the challenge. More demanding is Argentina’s epic Aconcagua peaking at 6,522m. As the tallest mountain in South America, it is one of “Seven Summits” – the seven highest peaks by continent.
Polar expeditions are perhaps the ultimate fundraising challenge whether it’s to the North or South Pole or crossing the Greenland Icecap. They are tough and take a lot of preparation but we ensure everyone reaches their goal. By tailoring everything to your own capabilities we’re always cost-conscious with fundraising trips. So if you have a specific goal in mind then we can help plan it for you. We work with in-house events teams to ensure the expeditions are always highly successful, for those who participate, and most importantly, those who benefit from the money raised.
